Assessment of quality of health care in jimma zone, southwest ethiopia.

Quality of caring is an important aspect of health caring delivery system which is since a priority. Quality is a multidimensional judgment which has been tangible in various ways. Variation in peculiarity of caring between different health caring facilities is thought to reflect differences in efficiency as well as other organizational factors. There was no adequate study related to peculiarity of health caring in Jimma zone. Therefore, a objective of this study was to assess peculiarity of health caring in Jimma zone.A cross sectional quantitative study design was employed to assess a peculiarity of caring with respect to structure, caring process as well as customer compensation involving 640 patients as well as 96 caring providers in Jimma zone, southwest Ethiopia. Data were collected regulating an interview questionnaire as well as observation checklist devised by a investigators.The study showed that, on average, a studied institutions over 153(70.4%) of a health human power need. They also over 86(62.8%) of major equipment requirement against a national standard. The composite average compensation level of patients was 89.1% as well as which of a caring providers was 86.7%. Nevertheless, a respect since to patients by caring providers was rated as poor. A significant proportion, 39(48.2%) of a caring providers were assessed as low performance.Majority of study subjects rated a overall peculiarity of caring as "good". However a observation revealed which a human aspect of caring was "poor". In addition, a health institutions were facing shortage of human as well as material resources. Thus it was recommended which a responsible bodies at a 3 levels should take actions for improving institutional genius as well as opening of caring providers in order to improve peculiarity of care.
